Athletic Highlights
Shot PR (61’3”) at 1999 USATF Masters Indoors that qualified me to compete at the 1999 USATF (Open) Championships, where I proceeded to finish 15th at the age of 36.  2006 Shippensburg University Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee.

Long & Strong Throwers Journal
Sometimes referred to by others as "your newsletter", LSTJ is a full-fledged magazine dedicated to the education and motivation of the throwing public.  Each quarterly issue (now 52 coated black & white pages) contains articles about technique, training, coach and athlete profiles, meet championship coverage and much more.  LSTJ is the only throws periodical of its type, and the only one in the world.

Coaching Highlights
Coached/tutored Jeremy Silverman (185'/65'4") from the age of 10. Jeremy went on win double gold at the PA State Champs and set a new state record in the shot. Jeremy was a scholarship athlete at UCLA and is now training at Arizona State, where Ryan Whiting is entering his redshirt freshman year.  

As a senior Whiting was the Gatorade National Track and Field Athlete of the Year, was the nation's top-rated prep in both the shot and discus.  He set PA records in both events and was also the Pan-Am Juniors double gold medallist.  Redshirting as a freshman, he topped 64' and 195'.  

Joe Kovacs is a prep senior at Bethlehem Catholic H.S. with bests of 176'10 and 60'4".  Joe is headed to Penn State in the fall of 2007.
